On a very wet day, I visited Penarth and Cardiff to visit some of the exhibitions open as part of the Diffusion Festival. I could have stayed all day at the Turner House Gallery in Penarth! It was pouring with rain outside, but it was mainly because of the work in Edgar Martins wonderful photographic show –  ” The Time Machine. ”  Not to be missed if you like this sort of thing – which I very definitely do!

I think this will be worth a visit to Rhyl and the Castle.

I had the good fortune to be back from Morocco in time to go to the inaugural version of what will hopefully be many occurrences of The Eye.

One of the most interesting speakers was Chloe Dewe Mathews; I am looking forward to seeing more of her work.

James Morris spoke about his recent project; working in Palestine. The photographs demand comprehensive contextualising; as they deal with a complex subject.

I’ve singled out these two photographers, but the Festival included many other prominent and lesser known ones. It was a stimulating weekend.
